PUMA Land Pink evoSPEED 1.2

The folks at PUMA have made another big splash releasing the new Azalea Pink/Black evoSPEED 1.2. It can be difficult to distinguish women's specific colourways these days and you'd be forgiven for thinking this evoSPEED was in fact a women's boot. But rest assured, these will be available in men's sizes.

You'd need to bags of bravery to pull them off, but hey, it is 2013. If Nicklas Bendtner can get away with it then why not give it go. We won't judge you, but would strongly recommend investing in a decent pair of shin pads and possibly a crash helmet. So, there you have it, please make an orderly queue.

We don't expect to see any of PUMA's contracted players parading in the pink colourway, but they'll make a big statement if you did opt to slip into a pair. The Azalea Pink is the same colour found on the new "Dia del Futebol" 'Graphic' boots and we must admit the black details do look sharp on the pink backdrop. OK we like them. Sue us.

Plenty of column inches and airspace time have been dedicated to pink football boots in the past. What began as a radical and outrageous boot colour, more famous for writing headlines on looks than for performances, has now become a colour universally accepted on the football boot palette.

We're used to seeing PUMA release their bubble-gum flavoured boots in October in line with breast cancer awareness month. This year though they've come early just in time for the new season. Built for speed, this particular evoSPEED colourway might even give you that extra yard of pace. You'll need it.
