Manchester City have revealed their new Nike third shirt for the 2013/14 season. City will wear their new alternative choice kit for the first time in tonight's opening UCL group game against Viktoria Plzen in the Czech Republic.
The new third shirt features a two toned stripe which runs down the left hand side of the shirt from top to bottom on which the City crest sits. The block stripes are joined by a navy Nike Swoosh and navy Etihad Airways sponsor which when placed on the white backdrop creates a clean and simplistic looking kit that doesn't completely lose the traditional City sky blue.

The words 'Pride In Battle' are printed on the label inside the crew cut neckline and completing the full strip are navy blue shorts and socks with sky blue details. It's another classy display from Nike who have already served up impressive home and away kits for the blue half of Manchester on their debut season after taking over from Umbro.
City kick off their Champions League campaign hoping to improve on last season where they finished bottom of their group. This season however they have been handed a slightly easier group where they'll be confident of qualifying for the knock-out stages. Bayern Munich will be the toughest test but games against Plzen and CSKA Moscow look a lot more inviting compared to last season's group of Dortmund, Real Madrid and Ajax.
